Tahiti Beach
Tahiti Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Abacos. We read glowing reviews of this beach, and we did find some really cool stuff here, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype!

We transit the “scary” Whale Cut passage to get the the big city: Marsh Harbour! It’s our first urban area since arriving in the Bahamas, so we’re not sure what to expect. What will the prices be like? What will the locals be like? We’re about to find out!
Explore an island with us! We check out every nook and cranny of Manjack Cay, from the ocean beach to the mangrove canals, from the sharks to the sea turtles! See it all for yourself, this photo-heavy post will take you there!
This is our first Bahamian island to explore, and we chose well! This entire post is photo heavy, in fact, the words are mostly to add continuity to the photos. If you like underwater shots, this post is for you!
After checking in to the Bahamas, we have to cross some big bodies of water to get to the inhabited cays. However, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to see – plus, our best day of sailing EVER!
Drumroll! This is it, this is the moment we’ve been waiting for, months and months of problems and delays all leading up to this one exciting event: WE’RE IN THE BAHAMAS!
Things are changing! We keep heading south, and we’re starting to see some really pretty water colors. Also featured: I get snarky about bridges and other boats. Get off my lawn! And then it happens: we get as far south in Florida as we want to go – next stop, another country!
The weather won’t cooperate with us, so when my mom asks if we want to take a road trip down to Florida to meet her, we jump at the chance! We needed to complete an errand there, so we’re killing two birds with one stone!
We take a quick trip to Kentucky for Thanksgiving, meeting with family for a wildly abundant meal. Instead of going Black Friday shopping, we cover a portion of the Bourbon Trail distillery tours! We do a full tour of Wild Turkey, and stop at Buffalo Trace and Jeptha Creed.
We’re putting our VW bus in storage before we head out on our sailing adventure. Read through our final farewell tour, including last minute bus problems. Plus, we drive the bus through the snow for the first time ever, and it doesn’t go so well. I mean, everything was fine. But it was not fun. You know what I mean.
