Murphy’s Laws of Sailing

Murphy’s Laws of Sailing

I thought I’d go in a more entertaining direction for today’s post! Landlubbers will read this and laugh, but sailors will read this and cry! That’s right, it’s Murphy’s Laws of Sailing! You thought it couldn’t go wrong? It can and it will!

Warderick Wells

Warderick Wells

Our visit to Warderick Wells continues with entertaining “credit card captains” (charter boats), and in spite of the uncooperative weather we still get some snorkeling in!

Land and Sea Park

Land and Sea Park

We’re in the Exumas Land and Sea Park, an ecological preserve in the Exuma islands. It’s amazingly abundant with sea life, you’ll never believe how up-close-and-personal we’ve gotten with the most unexpected sea animals! All those photos and more, in today’s post!

Guest Post: Is Boat Life as Good as They Say?

We’ve seen some spectacular sunsets and sunrises while here, so I’m sharing a skyline overload in today’s post!

Pinned Down by Weather

Pinned Down by Weather

We’ve been oscillating between wins and challenges lately, getting pinned down by strong weather in a pretty remote location. We’ve been doing our best to explore and be social, but we’re also feeling a little trapped while we’re pinned down by weather!

Bahamas, Baby!

Bahamas, Baby!

We jumped down to Miami to ring in the new year, then crossed to Bimini in the Bahamas, and since the weather was still holding, we kept going and are now in the Berry Islands. We’re ready to start exploring!

Weather Routing

Weather Routing

This is a basic overview of how we do our weather routing! This should give some insight on why we are still waiting for a good weather window to cross to the Bahamas, and whether we may have an opportunity in the next few days!
