Inside our $200 First Aid Kit

Inside our $200 First Aid Kit

Our DIY offshore first aid kit cost us under $200. Why did we DIY? Our logic is laid out in this blog post, but the biggest reasons are so that we can tailor the kit to our needs, and so that we know what is in there and why.

Back on the Road

After a tiny test drive, we’re all in: it’s time to drive the bus up to Michigan! Volkswagen bus road trip!

The day starts out great, blue skies and fun stops. Towards the end of the day, however, we start hearing a new rattle (or is it a squeak?!) as we enter the windy ups and downs of the mountains in Virginia. Unsure of what part is about to fail, and quickly losing daylight, we’re forced to make some tough choices about where we stay for the night. As the temps drop, we’ve got to make a call!
