Our Next Big Adventure
It’s possible we haven’t been completely honest about how our summer is going. There’s a good reason it’s been slow, and that’s mainly because I’m getting pretty slow as I lumber around with a 3rd trimester baby belly. Our next big adventure is starting soon!
Week 15
We had to take anniversary photos early, my dress barely fit at this point. It was freezing cold out, despite all the snow being gone. We made this a very short photo session!
Week 21
In April, my bump started clearly looking like a baby bump instead of just a weird lumpy midsection.
Week 22
We traveled to Chattanooga, hoping to get a nice trip in while we still could. It ended up being perfect, COVID cases were low enough that we felt comfortable traveling, we were both fully vaccinated, plus I was feeling great and we put in many miles of hiking.
Of course I couldn’t enjoy the breweries with Kyle, but it was the first time we’d been able to do outdoor dining so it was great to just sit outside in the nice weather and people-watch!
Week 28
Hanging out with the fam. I think they were surprised at just easy it was to sap my energy – it surprised me too, this was the beginning of the 3rd tri and I was starting to feel it!
Week 30
We did a mini-session of maternity photos, it was a little early but I wanted to make sure they got done.
Week 31
We had a little celebration with family and friends. COVID cases were at an all-time low so we felt pretty good about having a small outdoor gathering.
We made tie-dye onesies at the party, this baby is going to fit right in at our VW bus campouts!
Week 32
I’ve been eating so many desserts, we picked a million blueberries and I made all sorts of blueberry treats. This kid just might come out blue!
After this it was just so hot out. We didn’t do very much – definitely nothing worth taking photos of – mainly just looking at houses, eating ice cream, and trying to keep up with all the produce our families shared with us!
Week 37
It took literally every ounce of energy I had to head out to the coast for a final set of maternity photos. It just wouldn’t be a tealtales baby without some shots by the water!
We’ve been struggling to buy a house so we have a home-base from which our adventures can originate. After spending such a beautiful evening on the water, we’re thinking maybe we’ll just buy another boat instead!
Just like that, our lives have changed forever! We brought home the sweetest baby and we’re muddling through life with a newborn. Living our days, 3 hours at a time, with the most perfect baby. Welcome to the world, baby Atlas!
We’re completely smitten, head-over-heels in love with this tiny human.
*To protect and respect our son’s privacy, on the blog and social media our baby will be Atlas!

We’re fiercely protective of his privacy, so we’re going to keep his name off the blog, and his face off of social media. We aren’t trying to keep him private from friends and family, but from facial recognition technology and big data.
